01 / GEO
Get cited where decisions are made.
When buyers ask AI for a recommendation, the brands cited in the answer win. We engineer the structure, semantics, and source signals that earn your brand a place in those answers.
Talk to us about GEOWhat it is
Generative Engine Optimization is the practice of optimizing your content, technical foundation, and citation footprint so generative AI systems — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Overviews — surface your brand in their responses. It's the new frontier of search visibility.

Questions
Frequently asked.
How do AI engines decide what to cite?
Each engine differs, but common factors include: source authority and reputation, content structure (clear hierarchy, schema, semantic clarity), specificity and quotability of claims, freshness, and corroboration across multiple trusted sources. We optimize for all of these — and monitor how the weights shift over time.
Is GEO a replacement for SEO?
No — they're complementary. SEO rankings still drive significant traffic, and Google's AI Overviews often cite from the top organic results. GEO extends your visibility into pure-AI surfaces (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude) and into the synthesized portion of Google's results. Most of our clients run both as an integrated program.
How quickly do AI engines pick up new content?
Faster than Google. Perplexity and ChatGPT search refresh frequently and can cite new content within days. Models with knowledge cutoffs (like the base Claude or GPT models without retrieval) update on a slower cycle, but most consumer-facing AI experiences now use retrieval. Plan for citations within weeks, not months.
How do you measure GEO success?
Citation share for priority prompts, branded mention frequency, sentiment of mentions, and referral traffic from AI engines. We benchmark against named competitors and report against your starting baseline weekly.
Do we need to change our existing content?
Some of it, yes — but rarely a full rewrite. We typically restructure key pages for retrieval (clearer headings, factual scannability, proper schema), add citation anchors to claims, and produce new assets where there are gaps. Your brand voice stays intact.
